Our project, GreeNet has succeeded in getting European funding!

The Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Intellectual Disabilities “To Ergastiri” hosted the Kick-Off Meeting.

The main goal of our project is to develop an innovative curriculum in the field of adult education and vocational training for people with intellectual disabilities (PID).

The project will aim at the creation of a complete Adult Gardener (PID) program with particular emphasis on the use of assistive technology. By the end of the project, participants with intellectual disabilities will have acquired certified knowledge of gardening, increased their digital skills and will work with greater autonomy.

The project will provide an opportunity for Professionals in the field of disability, who will work actively with gardeners with IDs, to obtain an ECVET certification specifically designed from the outset to meet their professional needs.

On Monday and Tuesday, November 18th and 19th, 2019, our organization hosted the Kick-Off meeting of our consortium.

Erasmus + is the European Commission's program for education, training, youth and sport, which aims to enhance skills and employability as well as modernize education, training and youth systems in all areas of Lifelong Learning. (Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training, Adult Education, School Education, Youth Activities, etc.). The Erasmus + program is structured in 3 Key Actions for Education, Training and Youth.

Our project is funded under Key Action 2 (KA2) of the Program. Projects supported by this Key Action are expected to produce positive and long-term results for the stakeholders, the policy systems on which such projects are based, as well as those directly or indirectly involved in organized activities.

Strategic Partnerships / Partnerships are a decentralized activity and involve collaborative projects that allow participating organizations to tackle important issues together, develop partnerships and share innovative practices.
